Subsidy under the Power to Garage standard
The Canton of Graubünden subsidises charging infrastructure in existing apartment buildings if it meets the Power to Garage standard. At least four parking bays get shared load management. The subsidy is CHF 400 per parking bay, at most CHF 50,000, and the canton counts at most one parking bay per residential unit. In total, at most 50% of the project costs can be subsidised. The application must arrive before construction starts. We submit it for you and plan the system from the outset according to the canton’s guide.
Bidirectional charging
For a bidirectional DC charger at residential buildings, the canton pays an additional CHF 2,000. We will discuss at the site visit whether this technology suits your building. It only comes into question for individual spaces, and the basic installation for the other parking bays is not affected.
Condominium ownership and rented properties
In condominium ownership (STWEG), the owners decide according to the Civil Code and their regulations. In rented properties, the landlord decides. The load management that the canton requires for the subsidy shares the power between all spaces and, in many cases, keeps the house connection sufficient. Wallboxes can follow one by one, each with its own metering for billing per user.
Because the Power to Garage standard sets requirements for the design, we plan the system to it from the start. This saves rework when the application is reviewed. Planning, installation with our own installers and commissioning are all done from one source.
Grid operators in Graubünden
Repower AG supplies 32 of 100 communes, the Elektrizitätswerk der Stadt Zürich (the city of Zurich’s electricity utility) eight and Rhiienergie five. The cantonal median is 29.2 ct./kWh, which is 1.5 centimes above the Swiss median of 27.7 ct./kWh. At Repower it is 30.6 and at Rhiienergie 25.6 ct./kWh. Before installation, the electrical installer registers the system with the grid operator using an installation notice (Installationsanzeige).

That depends on the regulations and the scope. Work on shared parts such as the supply line and distribution board usually needs a resolution of the owners' meeting. We provide the documents for the vote.
Is the house connection enough for several electric cars?
Often yes, if load management shares out the power. Then not all cars charge at full power at the same time. We calculate whether the connection is enough using the load data of your building.
